Choked

Finding myself looking at a gorgeous creature, standing off to one side, I can find a million reasons not to take the first step of even talking to them directly. My mind races, all too often I walk away, having not spoken to them, never to see them again. Is that magic moment lost in time forever or was this meant to be? I hope for the latter, however, last night I still 'Choked'...
Feelings of a foolish man child, heart of a coward
Cannot talk in the bright light, awkward eyes darting
Stolen glances, moments of shyness, stuck
Is it fear? A silent unspoken warning?
Cold consciousness sounding logic and fact
Self confidence lacking, emotional vortex
Heaving languid resolve, cheating me
Losing ground, fingertips through smoke
Emotional misfit drowning in a world of sentiment
How is it possible?
Too sick to see…
Inevitable misfortune
That love is to me…

Draw closer to your Lord - HE has a plan for you and a purpose.... eh? PRAY before your emotions get involved and hear what He is saying about potential friendships and relationships. The enemy would love to yank us around by our "feelings" and attractions - skipping the friendship foundation and majoring in "feelings". God, will give us the whole package. I know.... my marriage to Mick (the one God picked) is into its 26th year and we really are SO blessed, I cannot tell you!
