Rage is My Beast

Rage is My Beast
My stomach ties up in knots, twisted
A heat builds, sweat beads to drops, hot
A haze clouds in my head, raises to fog
My muscles tense, hands balled to fists, tight
Mouth is loud, words at bellow, shout
Teeth grit, can't hear, can't swallow, choke
Mind now gone, brain hollow, dark
Make no sense, cannot follow, spark
Reason a waste, choices now left, ignition
Red no colour, voices of fuel, now, FIRE!
Anger? No is rage! Man? No, is beast! White hot
Damage! Carnage! Victims and perpetrator, smoke
End of the road. Facing truth, shame
Close to bone, depth of wounds, honest
Redemption at hand, amends to make, the test
Forgiveness the prize, all at stake, trust…
